Assistant Auditor, to reduce the number

of Senior Assistant Auditors to one, and

fix the number of Assistant Auditors at

two, which it is considered would provide

a more suitable organisation for the

Department as well as produce an economy.

In the case of such an eventual

rearrangement, it is suggested that the

salary of the Senior Assistant Auditor

(who would in fact be the Auditor's

Deputy) should be increased to £900 - £50

£1,000, with local allowance at the

rate of £100 (or $1,680), and the scale

for the Assistant Auditor grade should

be £460, £460, £520, £570 -£25 - £670,

£700 and £760
